5.a4! forcing an even bigger weakness of the dark squares (as the c-pawn needs to move to keep the bishop safe) was quite good. 5...c6 6.e5 I wouldn't doubt is her primary variation with the idea of keeping weaknesses bolted and black cramped.
Black made so many mistakes, but everyone has a lot to learn.
Going by her previous Olympiads Hoareau doesn't seem to be much for premature resignations, this is her position against Abdulsalam in 2010:
She didn't give up, and must really like to play chess. I wonder if she will score a win here, she had an Elo performance of 994 last time, but then she did draw one game and lost the remaining nine.
