Submit button

I know its not 'proper' but I like to have the submit button turned on when I'm playing online chess so I can see what the board would look like if I’d made the move.

The downside is that if I’m playing live chess, I think I’m testing a move out and blam! Its done. oh. I hope it works. Just saying really. I’ll work on my imagination. I guess that'll help with the game :)

@OP: You may have the "touch-move" setting activated. Under that setting, if you make a move in Online Chess, it is automatically submitted.

If you prefer to have a Submit Move button, you should be able to make the change by doing the following:

1) Hover over HOME and click Account.

2) Click Online Chess Settings.

3) Scroll down to Move Preferences. You should see the subheading "Confirmation," and two options:

a) I will click the SUBMIT button to confirm my move.

b) No need for a SUBMIT button - I play touch move!

If (b) is selected, switch it to (a). I hope that will rectify the issue!

Thanks. I'm a visual person (fearful of comitment) so look at the move before comitting. Thanks

Go back to basics: do puzzle after puzzle (from the diagrams) and gradually you will not need the crutch that is the submit button.

submit button is necessary even in live chess, it is not about imagination. it happened to me many times that the mouse slips when I am making the move and the piece ends in the wrong square.

What about when you're playing someone and they've obviously made a move but forgotten to hit their submit button. The game is just frozen there until your opponent realizes what is going on. There should be an abort button for each player in this case to use without penalty.
