No usually you have to accept a game for it to be started. The only other exceptions are if you entered in a tournament

I joined chess.com several years ago to try out speed games, but didn't like it. I came back in December and lately I have been playing long games - 3 or 14 day response. Sometimes a game appears in my account that I don't recall asking for. Is that common?
