Suspicious Accounts on Chess.com

Definitely some suspicious account activity. Beware of accounts less than a month, with silly username and obnoxious attitude. Many have been trolling around with different persona. Let's keep it clean?!

The_Krieg

It is such a growing problem.

Chess.com should seriously consider categorizing all accounts that have been created within the last month (30 days) and place a probationary status on it making them capable of playing only like accounts

or at the very least allow our chess community to decide whether to play matches against such burner accounts because so many of the newly created accounts are fake and suspicious.

Let us filter out those newly created suspicious accounts in Live Chess.

Your mistake is thinking that chesscom has your best interest in mind. The current system encourages people to create new accounts and boost the "user base" of the site which is a marketing tool to promote chesscom. Quite frankly, the rating system below 2000 is broken because the overwhelming majority of active accounts are new and rather questionable. Only way to avoid the constant pairing with new and questionable accounts is to get your rating above 2200 by which points 95% of cheaters and trolls would have been detected and banned.

It's simple:  add an option to not play accounts that are < 4 months old OR paid, or I'm not spending another penny here.  If they prefer millions of fake accounts to hundreds of engaged, paying players, good like ruining your bottom line like you're ruining the global chess community.
