takeback move

Does anybody have experience whit mouseslip and make terrible blunder? I just played blitz tournament where I wanted to capture opponents bishop after he take my knight, and instead of moving pawn to bishop's direction, I didn't push so precise and pawn just go one square forward, which was huge mistake because bishop than can take my queen!

So what do you think should there be some kind of takeback option if this happens? I know this option have negative sides and players could use this when realize a bad move, but i mean if you immediately react fast and press let's say "mouseslip" button in 1-2 sec. or even ask your opponent and only if he/she agree. Once one player said to me he did a mistake with mouse, and I would let him to take back but there wasn't that option, and it was obvious that he really made mistake (give rook for free) it's hard to overlook something like that. I vote for J'adoube :)

it would be nice for unrated games but no one would accept the request in a rated one.

I used to try to find obscure places to play chess online.  One has a feature you describe.  It forced a takeback if you pressed the button before the opponent moved.  This was an option you could set along with the time control (so both players agreed, and got an equal number).

People would abuse it though and take back moves that were mistakes and not mouse slips.  I think we've all at some point made a move and the instant it's made we realize it's an error.  That's just part of chess.  "Sit on your hands" and try harder next time.  Mouse slips are unfortunate, but can be avoided by being careful (or perhaps replacing an untrustworthy mouse).

I lost two recent games because of this until I found there is a submit button that can be turned on in settings.

So you play your move then press submit.
