I played a fair bit a year ago and only came back recently. But I see the algo has not changed at all.
Has no one else noticed how it does the same thing over and over again when its picking your opponents?
You will have 4/5 relatively easy games, then 4/5 games which are much harder. So your wins losses and draws typically look like this. W,W,W,W,L,D,L,L,L,W,W,W,D,L,L,L,L,W,W,W,W
It constantly happens to me and I made a post about a year ago, forgot about it, but once again, same thing, over and over. Its really not a fun system. Its like the algo is saying, you can have fun in this set of games, but this set, you can have a miserable time.
Please go check your general game history if you think I am wrong. Sure there are always exceptions, but typically, this is the trend, and an unfun experience.
BTW, its not just the case of going up in elo so the next games are harder, there is a clear distinction in the level of play and opponents, even if their elo doesn't reflect it. Its like going from easy mode, to players 10%-20% better than you.
There's nothing in the algorithm that has anything to do with win/loss streaks. It's mostly based on ratings.
