I don't mind what he does with the captured pieces, but his non-stop talking is very annoying and childish.
The Great Carlini and His Annoying Fiddling?

Some guy named the Great Carlini plays 5 min games on video tubes and is extremely good; don't know if he's a GM, probably not, but obviously above 2000. He trash talks a lot while playing. But to me, his fiddling with his captured pieces, rolling them in his fingers, pounding them on the board, is beyond annoying. Would this be allowed in tournament play? Even if he just tapped them quietly on the table and rolling them in his fingers?
(course I know he does this in these 'park' games just to annoy opponents, as he does with his trash talking)
Annoying behavior isn't allowed in tournament play. As long as the TD (arbiter) agrees that the behavior is annoying, it won't be allowed.

I'm going to do that to each one of you who cross my path...Shut a man up with winning, not whining...

If "extremely good" just means "above 2000" then I must be "extremely good," and that in itself is enough for me to tell you that your perception of chess ratings is a little funky...

actually ur really good as well, the expert level start from 1800 elo, and ur way above it so just be proud. the sad part is that chess isnt as famous as football, because if it was then u would be a milionare by now

I wish people would stop attaching a number to everyone they see playing a game of chess. Carlini is competent enough. He plays some great games and some terrible games. As to his banter, that is the whole reason he has become popular to begin with.

He makes it sound like GM is just some certificate you fill out a form to get.
That would be awesome, like getting a Plenary Indulgence. But Luther hated those. I wonder if he was any good at chess?
Wasn't he the dude who nailed 95 feces onto the church door?
Stinky.
EDIT: ... oh, wait. Theses. It was 95 theses.
Well, I stand corrected on that point.

Ninety-nine Protestant theses on the cathedral door,
Ninety-nine Protestant theses!
Take one down, pass it around...

People can't help themselves - they simply cannot understand things they cannot categorise with convenient labels. They feel better if they can dismiss someone as a "noob" or worship them as a super GM. They get a sense of smug exclusivity when they can assign a 4 or 5 max letter nickname to a player, such as Shak, Fabi, Naka, Nepo or Vishy or Misha.
As for the great Carlini - I watched half of a video and that was enough for me. Puerile trash talking does nothing for me.

At the end of this video he said he's 2200: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5R3HOuBB8Vg

i love carlini videos on youtube! im french so i dont understand everything they say but i love the tactics shown at the end of the videos! We have same kind of people in french clubs so i dont mind trash talk while playing with friends. I also love to see how popular is chess in the united states! That would be my dream to go outside and find chessboards and table to play with other players. We dont have that in France except in Paris maybe or some rare bistrots!

Given that I beat him 5 times in a row, nope.
Nothing to be proud of !
You are a FM and guy plays like a 19 hundred around 2000 the most with too much bla bla bla , especially to impress noobs and make them believe he is a GM ! So nothing Special mate !
I would be impress if you can take one of their guests, one in particular in this video :
Can you beat this guy in a blue hoody with a cap on !?
