I remember when I first studied this a long time ago... fascinating!
The Immortal game by Anderson

Anderson, absolutely great tactician, the only other games I've seen like that are Tal, Fischer and Morphy.

A kind of 2500 smashing 1000 rated players! Oh those games were popular games in many chess books, and those were GOD like games for beginners. But in fact his opponent was extremely weak and did many mistakes. In reality, applying those games in your real game is quite unrealistic. Even 2000+ players will consider developements of pieces as priority in the opening.

I think the lesson in these kind of games is punishing mistakes...materialism seems to be his opponent's mistake and he paid heavily for it....it is the same with games from morphy ...you learn how to attack an uncastled king etc...this is my opinion though and maybe someone has some other views on this☺
I found this crazy with a beautiful finish
