I will say that Lenny Bongcloud is one of the most fearsome opponents I've yet to face.  However, I was able to prevail:

Yeah,

but only after 36 moves!!  Were you trying to win?  Was there any dialogue?  What was it like?

Yes tell us

Loomis
What I did like about the General's game is that he forced Lenny's king back to e8. Given Lenny's preferred style of play, this is probably the one thing that could really upset Lenny.
General_Pawnwallis
Well when I saw him move the king on turn 2 I knew he had a trick up his sleeve, so I went with what I consider to be the safest and most reliable tactic in my repertoire, the Pawnwall.  It hasn't failed me yet.  The hardest part about facing Lenny is certainly the intimidation factor- he was taunting me all along and throwing insults toward my mother, so it made me feel that much better when I smashed him with a forceful mate.
RedSoxpawn
"Intimadation" how could you read what he was writing
mercytononeZ
that was a dumb game!

Loomis,

I can't believe you are actually analysing any games - its all 'fish in a barrell' stuff.

I would draw some caution here.  I feel bad now about drawing attention to Lenny, but, he did join chess.com and his games are there for all to see.

Can we laugh with him instead of at him?  I will try

To get the lowest rating ever i think its smarter to first make sure ye got a rating like 13-1400 so that a lot of players want to play you. Start a lot of games, as much as possible. Do 3 moves so that it affects your rating and then resign all games:]

He insulted your mother??

Thats not Lenny surely. Thats the weed talking

Very insightful, I like that. And good theory, Dinkydoe, though I guess he is only a few games away from being the lowest on this site - likely his true goal. I wonder what he'll do once he is. How low could he theoretically reduce his rating?

RedSoxpawn
Sure will try to laugh with him if we can understand him
ShpongledMonk
He probably has the best rating considering the fact that a loss for Lenny is a win for Lenny.

Ned,

NO-ONE plays as badly as Lenny by accident, his play is clearly by design. The two games he won were in 1 and 2 moves, and on time (luckily not affecting his rating). I would hazard a guess that he is having fun and desires to be the lowest rated player on chess.com. Lenny is well on the way to achieving his goal.

Rael
Is there a point at which it is mathematically impossible for his rating to go any lower? Or could he reduce it to 1 point?

Ray,

You are right.  But the thing is, could you play him and lose, without resigning?  Could you stopper up all that 'chess instinct'?

General_Pawnwallis
Surely you must mean that his play is by design of the Rastafari Gods

"But the thing is, could you play him and lose, without resigning?"

That would be a real challenge! I suspect that if he were to win a game "properly" he might stop playing here, his game now spoilt. A tricky dilemma if ever there was. Undecided

Well,

I've put the challenge out there (without being heavy or anything like that).  It's up to Lenny now.  He will win.  Will he like it?  hmmmmm

Ray_Brooks

"He will win"

I'm not trying to deride your skill Ned, but my money is on you winning! Laughing
