I play comfortably with 5, 10, and 15 minute games online. But if I play someone in real life with NO clock, then I have played a 2 hour game. Actually, I think it's beneficial to play longer games.
The Loooooooooongest game you've every played
I played a couple games OTB with a friend. He was better than me and beat me, but he literally took up to ten minutes per move. I took about 10 seconds, so I read a magazine in the meantime! Some of the games took over a couple hours.
normally when talking longest to checkmate it is done in moves. and I would go around the 80's or 90's with that. longest game in terms of moves was a 120 someodd mover where the last 50 was a Q&K v R&K without pawns. it was a living nightmare. in terms of time I started a 1 hour one online. longest one I finished only took like 20 minutes of my clock.
Well, in chess.com i played once a game that finished after 40 minutes!!! ( i couldn`t find the right sacrifice ... )
In real chess, i lost a game after 5 hours !!! ( My time was over !!! )

Same one, in worse. I once got a rook endgame transposed in queen vs. 2 rooks, then queen vs. rook (with many pawns at every stade). Something like ~150 moves, but I lost my scoresheet, so I can't be sure. It was probably a 30min (+some increment I guess...)/player game.
Intresting to know!
I've just played a really long game (with no timer) and that went on for an hour. I lost becuase I resigned. Oh well, my paitence isn't that good.
In time I don't know, 30 mins is the longest timed game I've had but spent longer on some online games.
93 move blitz game last night is my longest in moves, but only because I had about a minute left after 40 moves so was playing anything which didn't hang my pieces. http://www.chess.com/livechess/game.html?id=312275589
25/60 and 60/5. My friend, whom I played in the 60/5 game ended up losing on time! (at least I think he did, I know he was under 20 secs) but he had a completely losing position.
Just under 5 hours. G90+30 and 112 moves. Drawn by 50 move rule. Next round was last round and waited on us, 15 min break, I was paired up, very tired and lost quickly.
Longest time control is 40/2, SD/1 (can go up to 6 hours)
Longest I've played might be 4-5 hrs, and maybe my longest game was 70-80+ moves.
My longest time control was 40/2, SD/1 (6 hours approx.)
My longest game was 5 hours and 59 minutes. (Yeah, I counted.)
The longest I have spent on a move is 43 minutes.
The most moves I have had in a chess game has to be close to 130. (We got in time trouble and stopped notating.)
I've had casual OB games go about 3 hours. My longest recorded game was a 30 min game here that went 83 moves.
I have a online game that I have been playing for almost two years now.
My longest otb game was somewhere around six hours and finished at midnight in a draw. Longest (recorded) game was somewhere around 94 moves or so.
My longest livechess game in time was around three hours. If you are talking about moves, back when I played atomic regularly and kept with the theory, I had a game go 260 moves before it was agreed a draw.
