The Tactics Server and Me

I just spent an hour trying to break 1850 on the tactics server.

For every puzzle I solved, I missed one, and my rating just kept going back and forth.

I finally solved 3 in a row and my rating broke through.

What would an FM, IM, or GM typically score on the chess.com tactics server, and what should be a realistic goal for myself?

i am 2400 in tactics, ^_^

In order to solve tactics you must not solve them but feel them.

In my games I have sometimes found a combination intuitively simply feeling that it must be there. Yet I was not able to translate my thought processes into normal human language. -Tal

I was hoping for so much more from this thread.

I am pretty sure a lot of titled are above 2600 in tactics trainer. Although I have to say that the score isn't important. Focus on getting as many correct as possible. if you can get 75% correct, then you will be in amazing shape.

I usually vary between 2600-2800. I'm not sure you should have a goal "rating" but just learn the tactical theme from the puzzles :P. Use them to learn, perhaps!

So it appears your tactics rating is 2800, and your real life rating is probably 2200-2300 I'm guessing... 

So we can conclude that your tactics server rating should be about 500-600 points higher then your real life rating..

Meaning I should be able to break at least 2200 on this tactics server hopefully...
