This Is Ridiculous

I JUST left beta yesterday because of a bug that prevented me from commenting in threads, and hwat do I wake up to today? ANOTHER BUG! This time yet another notification bug, which doesn't allow me to clear alerts by ANY means, not by viewing or closing or clearing! How long must this go on? How long must we wake up every day to a new change that nobody asked for or likes, (*cough* flags *cough*) or a bug that makes the chess.com experience worse and more difficult? It feels like staff knows that ost members are inactive players who don't notice the bugs, and feels like it's community (the foundation of the site) is dispensable, or that we're loth to leave no matter how far this site tries to jump down the drain. It's annoying to say the least. I want the bug fixed but I also wanted to point out how much it is a reflection of the site as a whole.

Oh I have that too. I have to click on it and x out the thing like 10 times for it to unshow the notification. But I'm not in beta, so it can't be from that.

The day it happens, I'll know for certain that we're trapped in a simulation.

If they don’t make changes to the website, they may not have any more major bugs like this

Of course, we want devs to make changes and improve this site, right? So if you join beta, which is a version of the site that they say outright will have bugs, don’t be so unhappy when something as inconsequential as notes not disappearing occurs. I for one would rather have these bugs and eventually get an update that improves QOL on this site for everyone.
If you want this site to stay as is, why are they paying half of their web dev staff? Of course they’re being put to work changing things and of course bugs come in as a result. I think, “more bugs, more features getting developed.”

You can’t have the best of both worlds. Leave beta permanently then if you want a 100% stable site. just my 2c

i'm not in beta and i'm having the same bug tho

And does it stop you from playing chess? I just don’t see how this is at such a severity that chess.com needs to consider it as reflecting on their reliability

I wouldn't mind the bugs so much if thye reflected good changes, but none of the hcanges recently have been good. Not to mention hte ugs are stretching outside of Beta too, so they shoulddefinitely rethink something

To me it's the culmination of months of frustration that made me make this

JkCheeseChess

ninja is only saying this because he has a life outside of cc

BryanCFB

My Diamond membership ran out and did not auto renew, so it kicked me from the beta and when I tried re-joining it, it says to me "Have to be a diamond member for more than 30 days" lmao what??

This is only a fraction of bugs and issues on this site as there are many more I could think of

And one of the issues on this site is the existence of @UnstoppableQuasar as well
