Let me answer for him: the ELO of the highest level of Chessmaster at the time...because he never really did anything himself.

That Gameboy story is quite odd....Gameboy is pretty weak even for 15 years ago standards

Now you've done it! You've gone and insulted ME - deeply and grievously I might add - which everyone here should know by now is not a prudent policy, unless you enjoy getting PICKED ON by me!!

Perhaps StacyBearden and Cheater_1 could join forces to take you on as a tag-team, in your "niche" cage fun. It seems only fair, given the fact that you are such a gladiator, Sunny_Jim! Innocent

No, dude, I don't have a thick skin like Cheater_1. Nothing personal. Wink

"Interestingly enough, and as more of a side note... it is true a lot of the time that our imperfections in games are what make them memorable."

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I'M disappointed. Cheaters story was nice reading, but the last not was only pathetic. Com-on! the ending is half the book! and honestly StacyBearden? Accusing Sunny_Jim of being cheater? That's the kinda conspiracy theory cheater cum up with.

 PS.

Love your comment

"Interestingly enough, and as more of a side note... it is true a lot of the time that our imperfections in games are what make them memorable."

It is the perfect explanation to:

 why I play chess!

ok guys, I only read the first two pages and then this last one. Is it worth going back and reading pages 3 and 4?

I'll save you some time.  It's definitly not worth it.  This guy just wants posts.

Mistakes in chess are there to learn from, by dint of trial and error process. And it's definitely worth taking the time to study every last word ever posted on the internet! Just to make certain you don't miss out on anything important.

I start out nice and am FORCED to degenerate into a name calling ass. I apologize. It takes two to tango ya know. I have found in my years at online chess that it is usually the one who cheats at chess is the FIRST to cry "cheater". We hate when our progs lose. Without a doubt the "cheater-haters" possess far more anger than the cheaters themselves. I have no guilt about cheating others, heck, I cheated 3 other progs last night using CM9k just for kicks just to see if I still have it. I won, but it was quite uneventful. Prog vs. Prog is boring. My question is, why on earth would I waste my time trying to impress people (everyone here) with my story if it was totally made up? If you think cheating is a waste of time, writing made up stories to people who I'll never see is 10 times a waste. I can go into any chat room and get my daily dose of abuse if that's what I want. I'm like the guy who used to cheat Ceasars Palace for millions who now works FOR Ceasars Palace's anti-slot cheating team. I'll give advice to anyone who asks. For the most part I have come 90% clean. I just want you all to know that the lengths I went to are fairly common these days. Online chess and cheating are now synonymous. It is you all who are wasting their time trying to curb it. You may as well try to stop the "You are the one millionth visitor, click here for your free roundtrip tickets to Hawaii" popups. Ain't gonna happen. Concentrate your energies elswhere. Unless you don't have any real friends to play OTB chess, I guess youre stuck playing in my world. Also, I'll wager that since I've been playing chess for ever 30 years, I could mate 90% of the people on this site at a regulation game. I'm not talking bout blitz chess. Those speed games are nothing but races against the clock, they possess little tactical play and less strategic play. It's all about piece trading until the final seconds. OTB games under 10 minutes are ALOT like mini golf. Fun to play, but it AINT GOLF. In '08 I'll be on both coasts on business. San Fran and Boston. If I'm still on this site in the future, I'd welcome the opportunity to play a live game against any of you tough talkers.

Man, after reading some of Sonny Jim's posts, he's the type of guy that I LIVE to humiliate on the chess board, either by cheating or by legitimate checkmate. First off, without a second's hesitation I'd wager a sum no less than $5000 that I'd CHECKMATE him in an OTB regulation game. No draws......only a checkmates. And I'd give him 2 to 1, meaning he'd only have to give up $2500 if he lost but would win $5000 if he checkmated me. Everyone who knows chess knows that games are won in the opening....that's chess101. Unorthodox openings/play may confound the mediocre player, but nothing replaces solid, tried and true openings/play. I'd eat you for breakfast jimbo. And I warn you, when I play, I'm far from silent. I push the envelope wherever, whenever, whoever I play. Snide remarks, sneers, smirks, guffaws, and all around unsportsman like comments are part of my repetoire. If you ever had the guts to put up some money and play a game OTB with the likes of me, you'd be scarred for life. You won't have the advantage of your random word generator/theasurus to add 12 adjectives to every noun you type, you'd have to think of them all by yourself while youre pondering how to avoid the impending "royal fork" that I'm setting you up for, all the while resisting the urge to jump over the table and wipe my smirk off my face with your fist. You know jimbo, they say the best way to cheat a cheat is to think like or become a cheat. And, as a lifelong cheater and all around dickhead, I can just as easily pick out other cheaters and other dickheads as I can pick my nose. Sonny Jim, the more I reflect on my years of cheating, the more I can compare you to the other loud mouth, tough talkers who can play a decent, actually above average chess at games in the 1-7 minute range. But when you put these frauds in a REAL GAME OF CHESS, when the average time to ponder ONE move is several MINUTES, they crumble. I'd pick you and your game apart sonny, and after I mated you I'd jump over the table and shove the entire board up.........(breathe, breathe 1, 2, 3, 4,5) I'm getting myself into a frenzy I must stop now.

chessmaster 5000 was my favorite i would only "cheat" on the weekley newspaper chess problems when i couldnt figure it out or to check my answer you just had to set both players as chessmaster after you set up the position ......i would never use it too cheat a person though thats so weak
