Time Pressure Strategies

What the hell do you mean ? What is your definition of 'actually liking the game'? I play at least 5 games of 10 minute blitz every day on this website. Is that enough for your so-called 'let people that actually like the game play'? I suggest you get the hell out of here to your crappy life and when you're ready, come back with an actual answer you bitch.

If you're being serious - I laughed at the difficulty in picking up a big piece line - I try to complicate if it's clear I'm going to run out of time before I can get a TD or Arbiter to declare a draw.
I make quick guesses and hope my opponent blunders.

He asked for strategies to time out his opponent... not to avoid getting timed out! If you RAR properly, you will always be up on time, so that your opponent will be scared and lose on time!

Hi, I've recently been to a couple tournaments and there's one thing I have trouble with: time pressure. Are there any tips and strategies I can use to time out my opponent (OTB not online)? My friend suggested that I sacrifice the largest piece I have (size terms) to check my opponent's king, so that it will take more time for him take the piece rather than making an ordinary move. That strategy seems logical, especially if my opponent has small hands, leading to my opponent taking more time to grasp the piece, so I'm going to use that strategy in future tournaments. Keep in mind that I'm trying to win by time, not checkmate, as I assume we both have ten seconds left; not enough time to win by normal means.
If anyone else has time pressure strategies, please list them in this thread.
