Timeouts

A member since August 2009 I have had no timeouts within this period.  Having played 246 games and won 198 of them, I get rather annoyed when, on checking the stats, 20% of my wins were due to timeouts.  I try to play around 50 games simultaneously give or take a few each way and don`t find this difficult.  This can be a little stressful sometimes but, it`s not rocket science and invariably I get topside of them again.  My last two timeouts - one of which was 53 moves -  REALLY brassed me off I can tell you.  I really enjoyed this game and I could find no clear cut win at all.  If anything, it looked as though it could have been a loss or, at best a draw but I appreciated the way my opponent played and I certainly did not expect to win on time which I did not deserve.

Okay, these that don`t really want to play chess and lose on time within the first 10 moves I can just about accept.

I apologise if this subject has come up before but it gets under my skin.

Further to my message of 14th September, I have had another 4 timeouts up and including today. The match games MUST be annoying and frustrating to the organisers although there is not a lot that can be done about it.  It must be said that potential match players must think seriously before entering any match. One of my match games lost on time after FOUR moves.

Organisers can remove players with a high timeout ratio.
