tips for sub 400s like me

never resign: your opponent will stalemate
never resign: even if you're down material, they will blunder it back
do puzzles
always look for checkmates, no matter how lost your position is
don't premove your entire opening
look for hidden bishops
^ especially behind other peices
the most dangerous forks are Knights and Pawns, because you don't see them coming
always look for forks!
if you plan on sacrificing material, don't.
if your opponent is playing too aggressively, do not panic!!!
learn defense against scholars mate
when learning traps, also run variations through an engine so you don't blunder
king safety > queen safety
