Also whether you're reading books, or analyzing your games, looking at GM games, solving puzzles... any of that stuff...
Save any position that is interesting or instructive to you! Sometimes it's a mistake from a game you played, sometimes it's a good move from your game (or any other source). You can save it as a picture, or however you want, and make a few notes to yourself about what the right move is, or the idea, or why you found it interesting.
As those positions pile up, review them from time to time.
