It isn't so much that I care; it is the mixed-messages of their marketing. Promoting chess improvement and creating features that encourage activities counter to improvement is a bit odd.

Yea, but everything you do is based on activity not matter if it is a very slow or something that is time. You number of wins is what counts.
By the way, the title of this topic makes me laugh.

The title is literally "legend" and you get a shiny trophy in your profile... what the heck is the OP talking about saying "there should be something to recognize this achievement."
