Too much play?

I feel like I just want to study chess and play only a few games (few as in maybe 5 to 7 games a week) and try apply what I've studied in those games but I'm concerned that this is not the best way to improve my game? The main reason was that article I saw https://www.chess.com/article/view/getting-better-in-chess-critical-mistake-to-avoid the thing is though I am a bit of a perfectionist which means I try make the best move I can every game and as a result playing games is very tiring for me and I can get burnt out easily.

Why not play daily games with long time controls eg 7 or even 14 days per move and you can treat them as training games, using the analysis board and consulting the database at your leisure in the search for perfection.

What are you referring to in the linked article?
Is it this?
"Succcess is 80 percent practice, 20 percent study."

Is this the gist of your topic?
Why can't you just say so and make it clear? Why do I have to make it clear for you?

I don't even want to answer your question now.
