I would say the most important thing for improvement is to play many games, long games are a good option because they allow you to think more. Tactics is a must, but I suggest to do it whenever you feel like, training may be frustrating. Remember, having fun should be your #1 goal. Send me a message if you have any questions or doubts.

Hello,
I'm somewhat of a beginner to chess. I know how the pieces move, and I'm training for 30 mins. a day on tactics. I'm only a level approximately of 800 at the moment, but I'm not sure what I should be doing now...should I be training on tactics more? If so, how long should I train each day? I'm trying to make doing the chess tactics every day habitual for me, they say that it takes approx. 2 weeks for something to become a habit, so yeah.
Also, how can I increase my interest and motivation for chess?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
