unexplained rating climb

Over the past several months, i have been stuck in the 14-1500 range until a couple months ago when i started to be able to stay in the 1500’s consistently. But over the past few weeks my rating has surged forward inexplicably. A week ago my peak rating was 1616 and i figured that it would drop back to the 1500’s cause that’s where i knew my skill level was. But it never did. In one week i have climbed 100 points higher than that with a current peak rating of 1716. I have no idea how this has happened. I cant think of anything that might have changed with my play style or the concepts being used. Ive seen how 1700s play and they’re pretty strong. But these 1700s im playing just ain’t it. I do not believe i am a 1700 or even good enough to stay in the 1600s. Ive also seen some games by 2000s and they’re shockingly bad. One of them blundered an easy m1, another blundered an easy fork. It’s like this is happening to everyone. My sister, who was 1200 is now climbing through the 1300s and is on track to hit 1400 soon. But her play style hasn’t changed either. To me it seems she still plays the same way as when she was 1200. Wtf is happening and could the sudden influx of players on chess.com have anything to do with it? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm in the 100s. Maybe I should take advantage and increase my rating?

Well the more you play the more you get better at tatics, but sometimes even top 50 gms blunder something me a 900 can see right through

Ex: once Hikaru blundered his queen to a 500, but is capable of beating mittens
