yet another game I lost when I had 18 secs and opponent down to zero, then she was added 16 secs plus more at the end. I literally could not move fast enough. BIG UNFAIR!! Chess. co m must fix this or i will find another site to play on. And I've been on here at least 5 years. I'm tired of this. happens all the time.

Yes, it is unfair. But it is also just online chess.

Why play such fast games on the internet. Play longer, slower games. You will think about time less and enjoy chess more.

The client side clock is not official and you can see changes depending on the calculations the server makes based on lag.

I know many enjoy the Blitz, Bullet forms of chess. Pays your money takes your chances, I suppose.
I much prefer the longer 3 day game. As a beginner, I need the time to evaluate positions. When playing the computer, a game will generally take at least an hour, maybe more.
In a way I admire those that can blaze through a game, but I just don't see how that is satisfying. To each his own.
Play a time control with lots of time to think.

Lag means your view of your opponent's remaining time can be incorrect. And vice versa.
