Violation of Fair Policy

Hi there.

Does anybody know why everytime I join a live game my game is aborted by the server? It is just that I am being told I have violated a fair play policy.

It is probably because that this is a computer maintaining this website.

The computer sees that you and the player but can get confused on who is the aborter. So most of the time it might tell you that you have violated

I was told by staff that the server aborts when nobody moves at the begining of the game in 10 seconds.

It's supposed to be a full 20 seconds now.

@icyfoxx: Computers don't get confused. It's easy to tell who is at fault.

@OP: Your connection probably just isn't good enough for live chess. I'm guessing that while you're waiting for the board to load the 20 seconds have already passed.

Besides the lag, what else constitutes as policy violations?

Is withdrawing from a live tournament considered a policy violation?

Our Fair Play policy expects that players will not:

     intentionally disconnect during games
    stall to make opponents wait unnecessarily
    frivolously abort games because they don't want to play black, etc.

Any of the above three can cause account restrictions.

Thanks Kohai. I value my membership and wouldnt want to inadvertently lose it because I was ignorant of the rules.
