Warning: please check your advert partners, cause they are malware

i get always a facebook lookalike banner as ad. when i closed it, it asks why and i say because of irrelevant. thnx fr your feedback we will change ads according yr preferences! well... whatever apperently cause the same ad pops up every game i try to play. Then i thought pff ok i ll check it out once, with product it is about.maybe i can and it there. (silly me) inmediatly when enter the ad link i get malware popups. demands to dowload things. lying im under virus attacks and need there dowloads. lice chess

You didn't install the Chess.com browser toolbar, did you?

      Malware can only attack unprotected computers. Use a condom!

It can be very difficult to determine how malware gets on your computer. It's possible that the ad service used by this site has one or more malicious ads. However, it's much more likely that the malware came by some other route; Wrappers connected with some freeware download sites, clicking on the wrong link (either on a web page on in an e-mail), other reputable sites that you visit that have been hacked with malicious Javascript, etc. The list is almost endless.

Ads can be blocked with browser addons.

A couple times when I was in the middle of the game it just went off to some ad site.  Lost the game. Using Microsoft Edge.
