I just had my fillings removed ..I kept getting old Journey songs in my head.
i stopped believing when my fillings went separate ways and said i'll be alright without them but who's crying now?

Wow, what an amazing thread full of off-topic conspiracy theory, childish rants, as well as insightful remarks and even interesting eye witness comments.
Here a few comments from a Germans point of view.
Its's kind of funny that Americans consider lack of patriotism or even hate on ones own native country as a pathological state of mind, since this is exactly what (allied) reeducation tought the (conquered) Germans since 1945, so its deeply embedded in many Germans minds. Our vice parliament president (a female politicain from the Green party) has been pictured walking in a demonstration behind a sign that said "Germany you ugly piece of shit". It did not harm her political career at all, she is still vice parliament president in 2019.
Then we had this kurdish Journalist (grown up in Germany) who was put im prison by Erdogan in Turkey. This guy wrote essays about the wonderfull fact that Germany is going to wiped out from the map and from history by mass immigration soon, but he is a celebrated media star here in Germany, and his arrestment was a big title page story for nearly a year.
One could go on and on, but the message is clear, this is about politics, ideology, political correctness, but not about mental illness.
Same thing with Antisemitism. If this is mental illness, it is shared by some 1.5 Billion Muslims all over the world. These radical violent antisemites, who are not just barking dogs but rather dogs that bite, i.e. they don't just give antisemitic rants, given any chance, they would be quite happy to eradicate Israel from the map. And these people are invited in millions, unconditionally, into Germany/Europe nowadays by our governments. And they don't only hate the Jews, they hate us Europeans too. Now are all these people mentally ill?
And what about the "Jew World Order" Bobby ranted about?
Call it Globalisation and New World Order now, and its implemented in a radical way right in front of our Eyes here in Europe in 2019. Since its all so synchronized and political leaders that are not "submissive puppets" in this game (like Trump) are fought against so hard, an realistic model of our world almost must assume the existance of a powerfull group in the background. Let them be Jews or not, most likely they belong the richest people on earth (bankers).
The young Bobby Fischer till 1972 on youtube videos does not look or appear crazy at all, just the opposite, extremely smart, charming and insightfull person.
The late Bobby Fischer does actually look like a clochard in some movies, but does say quite reasonable things in interviews. Being extremely politically incorrect does not mean being mentally ill.
On the other hand, one does know people like the late Bobby Fischer, obsessed by some topics, repeating and repeating the same things over and over again, ranting aggressivly on certain topics. The difference of course, that normally you would need 3 to 4 of these people and sum up their IQs to match Bobby's IQ.
So it can't be a matter of intelligence, it seems more like an addiction, that gets worse and worse over time. THAT really appears pathological, but it does not matter if its constant rants about the ugly US, or the evil Jews, or if its constant repetition of "how Jesus came into my life", it appears like a sign of mental illness, and will definitely lonely over time, since for the people around you it will be unsorportable pretty soon.
I don't think crazy is a clinical term. Obviously, he wasn't stark raving mad, but I do think he was mentally ill.
(Ha, I got Post #3 in what will probably be a very long thread.)
It was post #2, actually. At least as the thread currently stands. What was the previous second post... 949 wonders... and smells bacon.
TLDR (Too Long (ago) Don't Remember)
That sign thing- I don't think that if she were holding the sign the results would have been the same. People just assumed she hadn't read the sign, and had nothing to do with it, surely.
That must of hurt to have his fillings removed. Back in those days I don't know what they replaced fillings with. They probably put the same filling material back in that they took out. His dentist must have thought that he was dealing with a nut. I think he was probably a bit autistic, which is a form of mental illness.
In this interview, Larry Evans thought Fischer wasn't crazy, but that he was delusional. He notes that Fischer functioned fairly well, except when it came to his pet peeves.

"
was Bobby Fischer crazy ?
by chesscom standards ? he was a saint."
You are exactly right.
It's actually amazing that the game that is considered a highlight of intellectual competence apparently attracts a crowd that make the late Bobby Fischer appear like a totally reasonable modest guy in comparison.
Buy the way, recently saw a documentary about Marlon Brando, and he too became angry, aggressive and elusive in his late years, although he had, just like Bobby, just amazingly good genetics and was highly successful.
Both were neglected completely as child's, and had problematic mostly absent parents (SJW mother and super nerd father at Bobby's side, violent drinkers at Marlon's).
As described above, may it's as easy as deep inner wounds from childhood that later come to the surface, besides the fact that this surface is just splendid and nobody can understand where all this anger comes from from just looking at it
what is wrong with people here ?
The site is overrun with formerly banned users who post 500 comments their first five days back.
become a mod and learn from David, let all the hate flow through you and make the world a better place.

There was very little reason for this thread to continue after the third post (now the second--likely due to a ban).
