Is it possible that it is a regional issue, hence the majority of the people reporting the problem are either from Belgium or Poland. That can also explain why a vpn may work?

There are US flagged players too, but still looking like it could be an issue with the CDN. Don't know if all the impacted US players are served by the same region or not.
