Wow, Omicron, chess.com really shouldn't have greeters like that! They make the rest of us look bad...
Weird Conversations

Not exactly a conversation, but about a month ago I received a challenge from a girl in an eastern European country. I accepted, but after a couple of days she hadn't made a move. So I looked at her online chess page and saw that she had started about a hundred games and hadn't made a move in any of them. So I aborted the game.
Being that this is the Internet, I expect just about anything and don't give much credence to most of what people claim about themselves. Especially those who claim to be girls and who say things to draw attention to their being a girl. If they want to play chess then that's fine. If they want to chat that's also fine, but with a few exceptions, I usually don't chat.

This happened to me on live chess.
I won a game with some guy. He asked for a second game. I won this game. He asked for more. I won the game again. Five games. So I said "we can go on like this forever you know lol". He then started to say I'm a bad player, a stupid teenager... So, I told him to go f*** himeself, which was normal at this point of the bright conversation we were having.
The weird part is when he started to tell he was raised in a familiy where they learn to kill, somewhere in Bulgaria...
I know I'm an ass, but so was he, and the important thing is I laughed a lot. Now he's in my friend list.

I once pointed out to a guy when I first joined that it was forced mate. He responded by saying "ur moms a forced mate" When I looked him up later on a different site, his user name was DrugPlug. That raises a couple of red flags.

I once had a guy on live chess start hurling abuse as soon as he dropped a piece. It was all your mom this and i'll have sexual relations with *insert family member or spouse here. I ignored him and won the game quite easily and he asked for a rematch. I accepted and before i even moved my first pawn he was questioning my sexuality and throwing racist slurs around, i just ignored him and won again. He asked for a rematch.
I won half a dozen games with him abusing me the whole time. Eventually he must of gotten sick of the lack of response and he quit. I then reported him and he got banned

why didn't you just disable the chat??

what do you mean by "raises a couple of red flags"??
haha- I have had messages like that, one guy I thought was 12, turned out to be 45 according to his profile, but he was saying things like 'I'll kick your butt' and 'come on, come on,' my reaction was like yours, at first, I was unsure how to take it, then I found it funny. Eventually I kept him waiting to let him stew- then he said he wanted me to let him win, he wsa going to tell all his friends, so i did, had to play really badly, but eventually, he did manage to win. Guess they're everywhere-lol
