Clearly not apples to apples, these "online" ratings. I can see a few titled players play no more than 3-5 games (online/corres.) at a time while others seem to manage well over 25. That might account for why someone's performance on chess.com does not correlate with their proven strength OTB.
I think the really strong (Federation-rating strong, that is) players here play "on demand" (friend requests etc.) and not out of interest.
i see someone on here has a FIDE rating of 2300 but yet hes in the top 30 on chess.com while bercerra is in the top 100 with 2500+ FIDE rating.
6 months back there were 2-3 2800 rated players, now theres over 10 and ratings are gonna continue to get higher
