I'm mostly talking to the high level players here, like the 2000s and above, but anyone is welcome to give their input. These are the major questions im looking to get answered-
1. How many hours a day should one dedicate to chess to really improve?
2. Is it more important to study openings, tactics, endgames, or is it more important to play?
3. What external apps do you use to step up your game?
4. What time control should I be playing if I want to get better?
1. depends on the player some study longer others not much so improvement differs
2. for me it was more playing and sticking to pet systems then studying anything although i stress the opening phase a lot since everything nowadays is mostly built around preparation especially OTB
3. no clue what you mean by external just use lichess or chess.com engine also also looking at chessbase player profiles and lichess broadcast to see player games from OTB tournaments
4. depends on the player some improve a lot at blitz, rapid or classical many say rapid although i am not an expert in that topic just choose a tc your comfortable with
