Hello everyone,

Just a quick question: When my profile is viewed I notice that I have 39 points. What are these points for and what are they applicable to. Thank you in advance for any and all help.

From the FAQ's section

"Chess.com keeps track of all of your contributions to the site such as comments, blog posts, forum participation, articles, etc. Each contribution counts for points. This helps members know how involved each other are in Chess.com!"

Hope this clarifies,

James

No problem, the answers to most questions about the site can be found in the FAQ's, but as always if you don't ask you'll never know, asking questions is one of the the best ways to learn (alongside listening and studying). I see your rating is heading in the right direction, well done, keep it up Smile

I herd a rumor that 100 pts went for a free chess.com t-shirt, I really don't know.

Like the ratings inspire players to do better, points inspire spammers to post more.

The points are like a microphone at a Britney Spears Concert.
