Not that I am probably a "normal" chessplayer... I'll settle for what the extraordinary women think of me 
As for boxing, only ever did that when I was in the Paras, unless you count kickboxing, which I've done a bit in civvy street.
Anyway, frankly, if the fact that I play chess puts a woman off me, then good riddance to her

I don't mean to get all "Clan of the Cave Bear" on you here, but I wouldn't want to date a guy I could check mate easily.
at your rating , you cant check mate anyone easily
Women don't like intelligence, they like big arms.
Telling them that you play chess can only hurt your chances.
On the other hand I feel you can tell it easily in your CV/in a job interview, if you're applying for an analytical job.

Should I believe these aren't normal stereotypes ? Should I believe that stereotypes are created as a result of lazier calculations or because people can't handle being one step closer to have things figured out, even if their efforts make no dent ?
If we discuss those ideas first in detail, I'd be willing to entertain my opinions on the OP's questions....
