I actually have the Best of Budgie album. I like their version of "Baby Please Don't Go". You're right, they're obscure. I've got a couple Atomic Rooster albums from way back too.

That's cool. I like anything slide..dobro, steel guitar, you name it. Our PBS station showed a semi-local band with a guy that played a distorted electric slide mandolin. I liked that too. Was that an original composition?

Maybe I don't need another guitar.

Worry about what to do besides chess. Nothing else seems to make much sense.

I'm retired from teaching, but I still do a lot of substitute work. Other than that, reading is my chief passion--everything from detective fiction to Dante's "Divine Comedy."

Now that November is here, I'm finally done with yard work--leaves, lawn, wood cutting/chopping--so I can enter my hibernation phase until March.

It's nice to read the diverse interests people have outside of chess.  I like to exercise and watch football.

I look forward in reading more from the good people of the chess world!

Sounds like a lot of chess and reading for the next few months.

I play money bridge.  [anyone care to take me on?]  Also nice coversations with wife and she enjoys learning things.   Also enjoy my two younger boys ages 13 and 18. Am mostly confined to my home because of health.

Have written many letters to the editor of the local newspaper. I am an advocate to help Christians in Iraq who are being murdered, ransomed, raped, and tortured. But of course, nobody listens to me although I have been on this subject since soon after we invaded Iraq.

Thats still related to chess

Most of the threads I troll eventually end up in "oof topic." So no, it's not related to chess.

I plead the fifth on the grounds that it could incriminate me. (Not really. Just wanted to create the element of mystery.)

Have felt that way since David Byrne and the Talking Heads broke up.

Everything else just Stopped Making Sense.
