A bunch of people told me to not worry about openings, focus on end game. When I finally made the decision to not listen to them and focus on openings, I got much better. My advice? Study some openings.
Totally agree about openings! I had a similar experience. It really helps set the stage for your game. Once you've played a few, it's super helpful to use a tool for Chess Analysis to see where you could improve. It makes a huge difference!
What do you wish someone told you when you started playing chess? new to chest here, tips/suggestions?
