What happens if someone says you're a bad sport?

I've noticed when I finish a game that the website asks me if my opponent was a good sport or not. If I say they're a bad sport, then it tells me that the other player will be assigned to play other bad sports. Beyond that, I'm not really sure what it does. If someone is called a bad sport, is there a way that the website will recognize them as a good sport again (for example, if the person's next opponents say they were a good sport)? Are people who are regularly bad sports only allowed to play against those who are equally bad sports? Is one opponent saying someone is a bad sport enough for them to be classified as such, or does it take several people?

They don't reveal their methods but it seems unlikely they would assign anyone to the bad sport pool on the basis of one report.
