I guess if someone does earn that rating that will probably mean humans are a step closer to "solving" chess, if we ever can of course!
Having a rating of 3000 is probably like dividing a number by 0. The universe collapses or something…
Then they have 3000 elo

Ratings are based on performance over other players. Nothing would happen if someone got over 3000 but it's unlikely to happen.

Any computer cheater can reach 3000 Elo in FIDE tournaments if he is not caught up soon enough.
If someone will reach 3000 ELO Fide-Rating, some others will say: A good player
