Hey good question. Unlikely it will happen though. Gm s over 2500 wont get distracted by anything. Not like me, i lost one OTB game because a girl that i was playing against gave me that look....

But seriusly, Can a girl win the WC of boxing? no.

And to those they say thats not the same ill reply that Men can concentrate more in one thing, and women can be more organised when doing multiple tasks.

So.

I wait for that girl that will prove me wrong. It will change the course of mankind for ever! (you catch the joke? MANkind?? hehehe)

You sound a lot like c_h_e_a_t_e_r (or whatever his username is now...)

Speaking of nice and short, I recommended Primer earlier, which is only 79 minutes long.

Don't be fooled by this: it requires multiple viewings.

Is the time travel in Primer logically consistent?

Yes, meticulously and mindbogglingly so.

Elubas

Wow, I just watched it and it's pretty amazing. It's very interesting to read "The Primer Universe" afterwards, to realize how many details I missed. Indeed I'll have to watch this a few more times.

TheGrobe

I like the time travel mechanism, I don't think I've seen that particular approach anywhere else.  The time travel itself is so deeply and nefariously nested it really does need a few viewings (I think anyone who tells you that they truly picked up on all the nuance on the first pass is probably lying).

Benzodiazepine

Are you talking about my time-travel trick from the previous page?!

TheGrobe

I think I'll watch it again at my earliest convenience, after La Jetée of course.

Thanks. What a grand effort!

Does this mean we're going steady?

Weird there hasn't been one except for Natalia. I believe she lives in Russia.

Wrong! Natalia is a WGM (AFAIK). Susan was the first GM and there's 30 in total. :O

If the question was whether there are any women with a GM title (as compared to WGM), here is the list:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_female_chess_players

Susan and Judit Polgar were the first two women to qualify for the title based on achieving norms.  Before them, Nona Gaprindashvilli and Maya Chiburdanidze got the title for being the women's world champion.

Natalia doesn't have the FIDE GM title (IGM as some might put it), but it's her "grandmaster of russia" title (worth much more than WGM) that she bases her claim of "I'm a GM."

This is why some authors will stress that they're an "international grand master" and not just a grand master.

I wasn't aware of that until I saw your post - don't see much about basketball here. Just been googling it and found that the US team felt so strongly that they were cheated that they still have not accepted their Silver medals.

This is what wikipedia said about the captain: "Kenny Davis reported that he had gone so far as to have a clause put into his will forbidding his wife, children or descendants from ever accepting the silver medal after his death. In 2012, Davis organized a reunion of the 12 team members — the first time they had all been together since 1972 — and reported that after some discussion, the group was unanimous in its rejection of the silver medals."

Have to admire that stance!

The US was absolutely cheated, no question.  Then communist bloc bureaucrats rejected their appeal.  Let those medals sit in a vault for eternity.

They've only become more resolute on it.  It was 10-2 in 1992 ( http://cnnsi.printthis.clickability.com/pt/cpt?expire=&title=Robbed+of+gold+medals+in+Munich%2C+the+%2772+U.S.+Olympic+-+06.15.92+-+SI+Vault&urlID=412702082&action=cpt&partnerID=289881&fb=Y&url=http%3A%2F%2Fsportsillustrated.cnn.com%2Fvault%2Farticle%2Fmagazine%2FMAG1003894%2F ) and apparently now it's unanimous.

Goodbye, chess.com, I will be traveling to the past future and returning to the future past. Pray I don't get lost in a Paradox in time, similiar to the fundamental principle of fact, you cannot prove or disprove it.
