If it were me, it's because I'd be bored. From a CM's perspective even most posts about chess are rubbish here.

The reason that people more than 300 points above you don't want to play you is that they have zero to gain....they get no points and learn nothing for a win and can lose a lot of points if they lose...so they lose either way...just ask Cherub....he plays lots of low rated players, but just because he is nice...

I dont even consider CM as a serious Title. FIDE put this new "title" to get more money (u have to pay about 60 euros). I reccomend my students only claim IM or GM title, not even FM.
personally I don't care what your rating is as long as you are good it's good

500 players. I generally play my moves against U1400 dailies in about 2-3 seconds after the position pops up.
