The average elo for chess.com is around 1000, because percentile on the stats shows you how many percent of the players on chess.com you are better than in a given category, and a 975 player was 49.3 percentile meaning he/she is better than 49.3 percent of the players on the site. The thing is that the average may seem higher, because the players who play the most, and post the most, etc. are the players with higher ratings

"Good" is all relative. A good elo rating is whatever you think it is.
