Yes, you are correct. Actually maybe you missed the news but the world’s top chess players had a conference recently and they decided to close and ban all chess competitions and ratings. That’s because no one wants to play it either because it is boring, or because the computers are now way above any human player. So the chess players of the world decided to close and shut down chess forever.

You should have received a message from Chess.com saying the 10|0 time control is now considered rapid chess, not blitz. So your rapid rating should have changed for all those 10|0 games you have played since the change, not your blitz rating.

I get that my ratings gained or lost in 10 minute games now contributes to my rapid score, but why does my in-game rating show my blitz score? If I'm playing a rapid game, why not show my rapid score?
I played bullet yesterday and ended up around 1600-ish. Was just matched with a 1700+ and my rating also showed 1769 or something.. Strange stuff.
What is going on with this site. Please, bear with me. I am not very computer savvy but, for the past few days, despite my internet connection being very good, whilst playing, I notice that my connection is very weak or, disappears altogether. I have lost several games which I feel I may well have won because i am supposed to have abandoned the game ( I most certainly do NOT abandon games). Also, it takes ages to connect and, when it eventually connnects, I click play only to be informed that I am already playing ( which I am not)!.

Lag and it disconnects between you and the live server can happen even if your connection elsewhere is fine
