It is a fact IQ is related to chess, both Hikaru and Magnus will have IQs of over 170.
If it is a fact, where is the proof? A scientific study?
It's complete nonsense. It has no foundation except thin air.

There is a scientific study actually -
A serious study on chess/IQ correlation where they managed to control for practice. The result is that there is a statistically significant positive correlation between IQ and chess skills.
found this on the chess.com website @magipi
However, in general, it is believed and research indicates that top grandmasters usually have very high IQs. A person with average IQ is expected to reach a maximum rating of about 2000 in chess. Strong grandmasters with a rating of around and over 2600 are expected to have an IQ of 160 plus.

IQ is a very complex matter which takes into account many different forms of intelligence and memory. Chess only uses parts of this, so a full IQ assesment cannot be done just from chess performance.

Agreed
Probably 120-130 numerically, 80-130 verbally and figurally.
Even just from the graph it's clear the correlation is very weak.
I would estimate around 130, just above average, but not where it would make too much of a difference compared to the average person.
100% agreed

Doesn't mean they are good if I had to guess it rnges between 100-140 you don't have to have 170 iw to be good at pattern recognition there's prob some people that are good that are around 80 ish but maybe mess common

Gm hikaru could be average but if I remember he took those scummy online tests everyone does bad on lol it's really more of "correlation is not causation "
