Are we doing this again?
What is more fun - Chess or Poker?

It's a proper reflection of their own personal moral compass, not mine. They basically shame themselves

hmm, true.
I don't really know why this thread was bumped, but I'm its OP. Delighted to see that after all these years, some people are still around.😁
That's all I wanna say for now, no need to reply! 👌

Yes @willitrhyme
What about Magic: The Gathering?
What about it? You trying to start something?

BTW, willitrhyme closed his account in early November.
Poker with play money is "boring" because the people that play it usually have have no idea what they are doing. They ignore the fundamentals on which winning poker relies and will sell their kidney to see a flop. So what we often see are limped pots that go check x27. This is indeed boring because the fun of poker comes from employing a better strategy than your opponent. When our opponents have such a flawed strategy that we can win with our eyes closed, it does indeed become boring. This is the same in chess; as a 2000 rated player a match against a 400 rated opponent is usually boring because there is no real challenge present for either player. The 2000 rated player is not challenged enough and the 400 rated player is challenged too much.
i like poker too because you determine the odds. Your opponents can change the odds though just like in chess you can counter, but i chess its just two people and it never gets boring for me, unlike in poker.
