The best compliment I get is that I'm playing FAR better than my rating suggests. I suck - no question - but the reason my live rating is SO low is because I consistently play stronger players and the rating goes down when I lose - but I'm learning a LOT from them. :)

He was probably 100 points more than me :). But then its Bullet 2/1. Anything can happen!
mohan,it sounds like he was basically accusing you of cheating. He thinks you used a program to beat him, not your own ability. Cheating is hardly uncommon in internet chess. Of course, some people will use it as an excuse any time they lose.

If someone has a 1400 rating, he's probably not using an engine. Just sayin'.
I got this compliment face to face once "geez, I feel like I'm playing Fritz or something!" A very nice compliment indeed... although when people give it online they're usually just cushioning their ego
