A novice, impulsive amateur, not even close to patzer (!)

Mikhail Botvinnik was my type ( have to study that )

My openings recommended ( and recognized somehow )

- Nimzo-Indian / English as white .

- Sicilian / French defense as black

( me who still giggle when mentioning French opening :)

Someone has been asking me about Alekhine and apparently I was not that far from the truth. I like some positions more and therefore I'm more of a  positional player but I prefer harmonious piece deployment and consequently I doubt I could have played like Tigran.

I'm an Ivanchuck, the romantic Ruy Lopez player. Big on ideas, short on skill, I suppose!
