What mouse do you have? How many DPI?

it basically means how smooth your mouse is!

I have the worst mouse. It lags way too much

CongratsUlost2me: I have the worst mouse. It lags way too much

Also CongratsUlost2me: 2200+ bullet rating

IMHO any mouse suitable for gaming would be more than enough for bullet.
DPI does not matter at all for chess. One just needs to set up his mouse properly in Windows.

The only thing I would make sure, is that mouse acceleration is turned OFF in Windows and in the the software that comes with the mouse (if applicable). In Windows this is called "Enhanced pointer precision" and the speed must be set to "6" out of the 11 the on the slider. Turn this setting OFF. If left toggled on, the pointer will travel a different distance on your screen depending on the speed of your movement of the mouse itself, and we dont want that - its not good for muscle memory.

TL : DR
Turn mouse acceleration off
Set speed to 6 of 11
Adjust mouse sensitivity using the DPI settings

I have a HP input mouse, and it does me well I have no complaints.

I do recommend inputs mouses, over touchscreen, or standard mouses that are already included with computers. It is not that they are good quality, but I believe input mouses are better and are more durable for the long-term.

However in the end it is your decision, both mouses are good and I am not trying to say either are bad, I am just saying from my experience, inputs are nearly always better than pre-installed or touchscreen mouses. But then again it can depend on your computer

If you have the following then I recommend inputs mouses:

  • Desktop- Dell/Apple
  • Laptop- HP/Acer/Windows(althogh their pre-installed mouses are great as well)

Those are the only two computers I recommend for input mouses, and in my experience they have served me the best.

For your chess experience and general knowledge I recommend getting a cheap, but rather durable and well rated gaming mouse so you can be swift yet precise in your play, so you can avoid mouse clicks and other accidents.

In my personal opinion mouse does not matter.

The thing that matters is your thinking and time you take.

And the mouse effects the time you take lol

I use trackpad and I’m comfortable with it but I’d much rather prefer a mouse

Nah it does not I reached 2100 just playing on mobile

Well thats cuz of your skill

If you play a 30 second game with someone equally rated and you play a mobile and he plays with mouse you’ll be flagged

Well I know that but 1min is manageable

1d31-O

I doubt that

Unless it’s with increment and your opponent doesn’t blunder you’ll end up getting flagged in bullet
