What should a 13 year old's chess rating should be?

For every year of age, your rating should go up by 100 points. For instance, I turned 12 years old last year and reached 1200. Now, I am 13 and have reached 1300 before (even better).

What's missing here is WHY this person is playing chess. If it is just to puff up his rating to impress us, he's wasting his time. If he loves to play, he doesn't need a rating, only a venue for playing.
The question is: Why are you playing?

There are no should's...
I wonder how that word entered the English language and how many languages have literal translations of it.

why do you play?
I like playing chess, despite it being stressful from time to time. A friend once described chess as not a fun game: you sit in a chair and torture yourself over the fate of some worthless pawn for hours. I'm OK with that, though. The word "agony" comes from "agon," a struggle or contest. I like the challenge, the mini-drama between two people. I know it doesn't mean anything in the long run, but it's been an interesting expenditure of time and effort. You win or lose or draw and move on to the next game.

I believe a good chess rating would be your age multiplied by a hundred:
11 yrs old = 1100 rating
12 yrs old = 1200 rating
etc...
Of course, if you have more than the recommended rating then this would be even better.

Now I feel even more discouraged, being so far from a 6300 rating.
Im 13 and have a Fide of 2000+ does that make me a prodigy
No, but it certainly enough it makes you a liar.
