OKAY, I HAVE A GOOD, YOU WILL NEED THIS, BUUUM BUUUM BUUUM: what u will have to do is think of every chess combo during ur move, have a game plan and think of what u would do if u where ur in ur opponents shoes while thinkng for a best move(disadvantage: "Time" so u must be quick hey), u'v got to have dedication, very very gooood skills, and u must be veeery gooood in calculation. . .
What to think during every move in a game of chess?

whose move is it ? Did i take the dog out ? why does he take so long to move? Wow, that other game really worked out well ! Next he will go on vacation, just my luck!

Because they're fashionable.

"I saw it in the window and just had to have it."
Precisely what I was thinking. Classic line!

1. am i playing bullet?
2. if yes ignore steps, else am i in danger?
3. what do i feel like doing?
4. how do i do it?

You may ask yourself, "What is that beautiful house?"
You may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?"
You may ask yourself, "Am I right, am I wrong?"
You may say to yourself, "My God! What have I done?"

1. Count up all the pieces and pawns on both sides - are you ahead, behind or even in material?
2. Do you or your opponent have any hanging pieces or pawns?
3. How many pieces do you and your opponent have developed in the opening?
4. What are your weaknesses and your opponents weaknesses such as doubled, isolated, and backward pawns; poorly developed or undeveloped pieces etc
5. Come up with a plan - and carry it out: your plan may simply consist of developing all your pieces and castling ASAP in the opening, or trying to liquidate doubled pawns, or focusing on a weakness in your opponents position such as an isolated or backward pawn to name but a very few examples.

love the quote
What is your worst piece [usually least developed piece] and how can I make it better?
THat occurs SO often that it will do you no harm to use it every move whether you are a novice or 2800 ELO world champion.

Still, the example of computers might indicate otherwise...

1. What am I doing here?
2. I think I'll bluff.
3. Why is he staring at me like that? It's creepy.
4. What am I going to eat after the game? Maybe pizza? Yeah I like pizza.
5. Double-check
NIce! --- Here's mine:
1. Why am I using psychic energy on this game?
2. Shouldn't I be doing laundry right now?
3. Doing laundry is "easy" and This is challenging and Difficult!
4. I'm quite the "intellectual," I am, playing chess and all ... not like those "ordinary people" who take the "easy route" of "doing laundry."
5. Nope, not me. I'm "improving my mind."
6. Yep, that's it.
7. What a bunch of BS! -- Face it, MIL, you're just Procrastinating .... And for god' sake, quit calling yourself "MIL." That's not your real name! What the hell is wrong with you? Are you Choosing to stay stuck in some alternate "reality?" ---- Don't you even Want Clean Clothes ?! ... Jesus ....
6. I guess I'll castle.
In reference to the pictures of the two Richard Burtons:
Yes indeed it is! Btw if anyone wants to read a great biography on Sir Richard Burton i would recommend "The Devil Drives" by Fawn Brodie.
He was quite a character and prehaps the most interesting historical figure i have ever come across. My handle here is my modest tribute to his life.
