How much time to speak? Who is your audience? Can you use visual aids as in a presentation?

Sure! As long as the context is fine and the topic of chess is appropriate for the situation, then I say go for it. I've actually given several presentations in school, such as one presentation on the history and origins of chess. If the teacher/instructor lets me talk about topics I love such as chess, then I take that opportunity!
