What Would You Do If you Beat a Higher Rated Player?

Whenever I was going to do after that game before I knew the result...
Gotta agree with that! I was the exchange up against an Expert and offered him a draw so i could go to an all you can eat buffet with some friends...priorities man!

WeRd!
Its just like if my friend Robert and I get paired in a round right before lunch, chances are it will be a quick draw so we get a long lunch.

Is it punishable as collusion if neither of you benefit (or intend to benefit) financially due to the draw? I'm only half joking...

Since we are talking the second round of a 6+ round tournament, its not impacting anything. Obviously if one of us wants to play on then that is what we do. Now in a 3-4 round one day tournament that is different, as that can have some impact.

after beating the higher, i'll try to beat the highest
Ah now that's different! If I beat Carlsen I'd probably just... Wake up I guess...
Move on to my next game.
If the difference in rating was about 100 pts it doesn't mean anything.
If the difference was about 200, I may have played a bit better than usual but my opponent just made some mistakes they couldnt get away from.
If the difference was 300 or more then I just got lucky.

I don't get that happy anymore when i beat higher rated over the internet. It might be mouse slip, bad day, suden distraction or single blunder.. Ofcourse if he is title then first i will check if title is real then i will be happy. But I get really happy when i play close game no matter rating, a game that is decided by pure chess skills, intuition, decision, close call or opponent making agressive unsound sacs or agressive 1m ove threats instantly , you feel he is on tilt mode becouse i am outplaying him... I just feel pure joy when after the game he just quit... I don't see future of this type of players and they are thousands like this one... What matters is not rating but qualitty of your game, then after the game you have to analyze it to improve.

I just feel pure joy when after the game he just quits..
So it doesn't occur to you at any point that that was his last game regardless of the outcome? You know, like a sane person would think?

By quit i ment disconnects or leave the game with clock thicking. But there are many games he just resign and starts new game. You can imidiately follow him or check 10 min later if he played new game. This type of "his last game" is totally not serious argument, really. You can tell by feeling as i said he is angry or nervous or unsure etc by his moves and how fast he makes them. As i said this type of players will never improve and will stay at patzer level all life. But maybe they don't care and play for fun, but then why bother getting upset and instant quit, just say hi or gg or well played.
