Sorry, every time I see the word "draughts" I think it should be pronounced "drots" instead of "drafts."

And every time I see the word draught - I think of beer (you know, beer on tap, draft beer?)

I grew up playing snakes and ladders (in the 60's!). Now I hear it called chutes and ladders - someone must be afraid of snakes?
