Ye, noone gives a shit, but she is a women. Can u compare a woman's achievement to a man's. Where are all the other female players anywhere near the 50th rank. So talking about women in chess you always should consider this.

I could not help answering this stupid subject.

Being great at chess has nothing to do with IQ full stop. It's the great ability to recognise patterns plus great memory bank plus creativity. Another words...it's simply called tallent. Every person have some degree of tallent in a certain field but that's only small portion of your IQ.

IQ is a very abstract term. It's never measured from one field only. If you are great at chess, that doesn't mean you could be great leader..etc

Thanks for answering this stupid subject in kind!

In any event, I wouldn't want to play chess with him in a dark alley!

Lol, 100 is average if anyone doesn't know...

However, yes, I agree IQ is not related with chess. I have IQ around 200, but hardly believe I can achieve 2400.

Going4Draw

Why by lerning his IQ would make you feel better that life is not fair or worst that life is not fair!

I maybe in a minority but I don't find Kasaparov to be intelligent at all.  He has an ability to play Chess granted, but he is no Academic/intellectual.  In Russia, he isn't taken seriously at all.  More of a comic figure, then a serious politician.

Crazychessplaya

I'd call someone using a Nazi SS officer's picture as an avatar somewhat less than intelligent.

GKfreak

LOL? ofcoz chess is related to IQ

Haven't you ever heard of idiot savants? Some can't even tie their shoes, but have talents beyond what most people could ever hope to achieve.
